What is a MUD?
A MUD is a multiplayer game played primarily through text. Rather than moving through a graphical world, you interact with the game by entering commands.
MUDs have been around since the early days of the Internet and are still home to some of the most detailed and unusual multiplayer worlds around.
How do I play?
You can connect to Undying Realms using a MUD client or Telnet.
Connection information will be provided here when the game is ready for players.
Do I need to download anything?
No. You can connect using Telnet, although a dedicated MUD client may provide additional conveniences.
Is Undying Realms free?
Yes. Undying Realms is free to play.
What can I do in the game?
That is largely up to you.
Explore the world, fight creatures, discover secrets, interact with other players, join a guild, seek fortune, or simply find a quiet corner of the world and see what happens.
What races can I play?

What are guilds?
Guilds provide different paths of character development and play. More information can be found on the Guilds page.
Does the world persist when I'm offline?
Yes. Undying Realms is a persistent world. The game continues whether or not you are logged in.
Do I need to know everything before I start?
No.
In fact, you probably shouldn't. There is a world to discover, and some things are better learned by venturing out and finding them yourself.
